A number given over the phone is a guess, and guesses get revised upward once someone actually sees the property. We walk the line with you, count the corners, look at what has to come out, check whether a truck can reach the backyard, and find out what the ground is like. Then you get a number.

The quote is itemized

Fence, tear-out, gates, and anything the site itself adds, listed separately. That matters even if you hire someone else — a single lump sum cannot be compared to anything, and it is where the surprises hide.

Permits are our problem, not yours

Most backyard fences in Edinburg need no permit. When yours does — a corner lot, a street yard, vinyl or masonry, anything over seven feet — we prepare and file the application with Planning and Zoning. You do not chase the city.

You sign off on site

Most people arrive knowing roughly what they want and are really asking whether it is the right call. Short version: by what you are actually trying to do.

You want the neighbors not to see in.Wood privacy fence, six foot, board-on-board, if you want it to stay private as the wood dries and shrinks. This is the default in Edinburg for good reason, and on an interior lot it needs no permit.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No, and we do not take a deposit to produce one. We come out, measure, walk the line with you, and leave you a written itemized number. You are under no obligation at that point.

Do I need a permit for my fence?

Usually not. A standard six-foot wood or chain link fence on an interior lot is exempt in Edinburg. A corner lot, a street yard, anything over seven feet, or vinyl and masonry materials all require one — and we file it for you when it does.

How much does a fence cost?

It depends on material, footage, height, how many corners the run turns, whether an old fence has to come out, and whether a truck can reach the backyard. Anyone quoting per foot over the phone without seeing the property is guessing.
